Home Hacks: 5 Tips to Organize Your Bedroom

Cluttered bedrooms are a problem that plagues even the best of us. Life is fast and busy. You’ve got things to do, and you don’t always have someone to help you around the house. The next thing you know, your bedroom is a mess.

You’re embarrassed to invite people over. You don’t know where the delivery people will step when they deliver the adjustable bed mattress you sourced from US Mattress’s Blog. It’s a mess. A big, bad mess.

As people keep flocking to cities, living in small apartments continues to become a reality for them. Some apartments even have as little as 150 square feet of living space. Trying to live in, let alone organize, a tiny space can be a big challenge that many people find overwhelming.

It doesn’t have to be that way, though. We can’t always choose where we live, but we can try our best to improve the situation. You don’t need to get a professional in to help you organize your things. You can do it yourself making a few tiny shifts in your everyday life.

Storage Under Your Bed

No, I’m not talking about the things that have already assembled with the dust bunnies down there. Once you’ve cleared all that out, get some flat boxes to slip in under your bed. You’d be surprised how many things you can fit into a rectangular Tupperware container. When you need something, you can pull the box from under your bed and grab it.

Hook It

Hooks are not only useful additions to catchy pop songs. You can use them to hang things! Save on floor space hanging some of your belongings. You’ll have more room to move about and not put other things in. You can put hooks in the wall, the ceiling, and behind doors.

Store Clothes You’re Not Using

You’re not going to wear your sweaters and coats during summer just like you’re not going to wear your shorts and tank tops during winter. Make room in your closet storing your out-of-season clothes in other rooms (or under your bed) and swapping them around when the time comes. Some people even vacuum pack clothing they know they won’t be using for a while, making them even easier to store.

Floating-Shelves

Floating Shelves

To further save on floor space, consider installing some floating shelves for books and ornaments. You can even install some extra high ones for things you don’t use often.

Storage Ottoman

Get one of these nifty guys to put the foot of your bed. You can store all kinds of things in an ottoman, and if you get one that is sturdy enough, you can give it a dual purpose for sitting on as well.

In Conclusion

Keeping things nice and clutter-free need not be a major chore. With just a few small innovations around your room, you can have a great place to relax and feel at home!
