| Tree World Rules and Posting Guidelines
Rule 1:- No flaming, bashing, name calling, trolling, Any derogatory slurs; racially offensive comments; belligerent, aggressive, or threatening actions; will not be tolerated.. This isn't the front bar on a Friday night, go elsewhere to pick a fight. Rule 2:- No "Spamming", advertisers and members willing to promote products, services, training, GTG's need to contact Admin (Ekka) to make arrangements of doing it according to the guide lines here. There are systems in place for censoring sites, words, products, IP's etc, if unsure ask. Advertisers are limited to links in only one signature, no getting 5 employees etc to spam the place. Rule 2.1: Links. Admin reserves the right to alter, amend or delete links, text, pics etc in signatures and posts at any time and in accordance with advertising policy mentioned in rule 2 Above. It is generally OK for individual contractors and tree workers to have signature links to their tree businesses. It is considered a reward for posting, however should not be abused by multiple posts or spamming, a common sense approach. If you join just to get links and add little then expect your privileges to be taken away.. Rule 2.2: Home owners and lay people also share this site so no direct solicitation for services either by posting or Private Messaging, approaches to your business should be made via bona fide advertising or business listing details (websites etc), home owners etc can contact posters through their normal business channels if they're seeking your services. We know this is a difficult rule and will enforce it considering site tenure and input. We do not want an environment where posters are seen as leads, prospects etc. In some instances people will ask for help, usually moderators will indicate it's OK to respond as seen in this thread. Need a modified saw for prime time cable show. Also certain forums like http://www.treeworld.info/f46/ are designed for people to put their details up, again if asking for employment provide contact details if advertising a job provide the details. Rule 3:- No Nudity/Porn/Drugs of any kind. Rule 3.1:- Image hosting is to be on TreeWorld for the sake of preservation. The disappearance of images could ruin threads and posts over time plus it's easy to upload them. Be aware of image sizes, generally anything over 750px wide and 100kb in size will pose a problem for many users on slow connections or small screen resolutions. If images linked from other sources appear on the forums Tree World has the rights to copy and load the image to it's own server. Rule 4:- No obscene, vulgar or explicit language, this site is for every bodys use. Be aware of images which have "bad language" in them, the word sensors are unable to pick these up. Rule 5:- Direct links to other forum/chat sites are not permitted (unless OK'd by admin). Tree World reserves the right to sensor any website. Tree World is run at no cost to members what so ever, in return all we ask is your contribution to the forum and not sending members elsewhere. Tree World is not a recruitment ground for other forums and chat. Try to provide the information they require here. Rule 5.1:- Email addresses within posts or signatures are not permitted. Where within a post an email address is published TreeWorld reserves the right to remove or change it. Rule 6:- Posts and threads remain the property of Tree World. This site exists for the purpose of exchanging and disseminating information ... copy for the purpose of teaching, sharing info or promotion of Tree World is permitted provided that the material is attributed to Tree World and the original poster. Once your edit period has expired Tree World has full discretion over the management of posts including attachments. Rule 6.1:- No multiple member names. If you are suspended or banned you are not permitted to re-register. Rule 6.2:- Memberships are not deleted, erased or deregistered. In your CP you can unsubscribe from emails and threads, alter your email address etc. Memberships are free and voluntary, no-one forced you to sign up, the site is run by automated software and deletion of memberships is not an automatic process and there is no guarantee of Admin or Moderators to manually deal with such requests. Rule 6.3:- Allowing others the use of your member name is not permitted and may be considered trolling. If in one household or from one PC a number of different people are accessing the forum then each should have their own member name and post accordingly. Rule 7:- Tree World has discretion to amend, alter, suspend, ban or delete members at any time. Rule 8:- Tree World has the right to edit, delete or alter posts at any time. Rule 9:- Tree World reserves the right to make any changes or decisions that may not necessarily be covered in the guidelines that it deems is in the best interest of the site. Please note, all of this is pretty much common sense approach. Treat this place as you would if you were a guest in some-ones house.
