Dropped a fallen dead Willow and made it safe as it was in a primary school today, might be shooting up to St Andrews tomorrow for a two day felling operation -if all goes to plan. Hopefully the snow doesn't fall too heavily as I hate cold feet! ![]() ![]() |

Just finished that job (2 pines & beech) have posted some pics already, it should have only taken 3-3 & half days in the end it took 5 days to complete. Reason, wet weather and snow slowed everything up, plus did leave early a few times because we were soaked and cold. Going to look at a couple of jobs now, then got one or two jobs on the books for next week. Weather supposed to be going cold here again early next week, not looking forward to that. Well this time last year we were on route to New Zealand OMG it,s 12 months only seems like a couple of weeks ago, how time flies. Well good news is we will be coming back to N Z next year (for wife,s 50th) not sure when yet. So this time i will try and make arrangements to meet up with some of you guy,s in N Z if thats possible??? lets hear from you guy,s out there. Well they are saying that the recession here is over, well i,ve yet to see the signs myself. Well i think i will have to go look at the work now cheers all. ![]() ![]() ![]() And hey, Climb safe out there. Rob. |

Hi Therrin, The funny thing with Soil Nutrition is that it is probably THE most important thing when it comes to growing plants or transplanting trees etc, but probably gets the LEAST consideration.........people cant be expected to know about it. That means my business has grown exponentially as we assist growers of all types improve their soils and, intern sucess rates. From Japan to India...from Singapore to Sydney....there are growers everywhere that can benefit. I am having an arm wrestle at the moment with some engineers doing a major sports complex who want 150mm/hr haudraulic conductivity in the soil profile. Thats OK if you want to play on the surface 15 minutes after a rainstorm but it makes it difficult to grow healthy grass. But, as always, ther are ways around it....they just havent got their heads around it yet as they do soil texture and not soil nutrition. Cheers DW |

Don't you just love it when the pile of crap you quoted to take away gets way bigger in size when you arrive? I have taken out my camera at the quote and advised them if the size of the pile increases so does the price.

Man its been a while since ive posted here. Things of note really, working @ Freemasons where they are doing huge renovations. We had to clear out this garden that was right outside the windows of the aged care facility. Had one old lady come out and call my actions evil and she went to lunch so she didnt have to see. Once I was a couple of metres off the ground and had scarfed out 1 part of the birch another lady upstairs comes out looks at the tree and starts crying, didnt know what to say. The day before that the rains came down haaaard as I was driving the truck back to the yard through the city. All the streets were flooded, being the young driver that I am I was forced to drive through the puddles, the only hit I got was a bus shelter that was protecting people. But while I was waiting at the lights there were these 2 people standing on the corner with a mother frakkin huge puddle next to them. So this Astra wagon comes screaming through the puddle and drenches them both even further. But unfortunately for me I caught my coworkers cough and it got shitty over the weekend, yesterday @ TAFE it wasnt much better even though TAFE was fun until I got clocked in the head by a stub I cut off, missed the helmet and hit my forehead... |

It,s a real test of fitness getting through the ivy up to a suitable anchor point. Only used hand saw and pruners to remove it. Good fun but cold, allso makes a change not using a chainsaw in the tree. The Ash had bracket fungi too and a green stick fracture right through the trunk at about 20 feet from the ground. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And hey, Climb safe out there. Rob. |

Just the usual - trying to keep all my machines, vehicles, saws and customers in order - and looking forward to treating myself to a new saw. Got problems with a very weak spark on my 361 (can feel it but not see it) Is it the coil, the module, or the wiring? Hopefully a look on here will give me some clues! Cheers |
