Why pull them?why not just mow them or use a weedeater?Goat, try and get a boar goat if you can, they WILL eat anything.

Thank everyone. Missus is going good now but she she did knock back a few bourbons on the first and second night and yes about 15 blokes did get the chance to put the boot in before the cops stopped them. Oddly enough the coppers didnt see anyone touch him

The guy who held up the missus used a pen torch under his jumper. In hindsight sounds dumb to have let him behind the tellers but you never know so they didnt risk it. His sentencing is in feb but because he attempted kidnapping he get min 20 years the copper rekons.

For a blue collar/housing commission area they guys who caught the bank robber returned every cent of the money (about $50K). I take my hat off to them

Sorry, no spare husky parts. I'd have had to have owned some first. I've got some Stihl parts?
I hand-grenaded an 011 from 80ft out of a pine tree. And there's various other miscellaneous bits lying around.

First thing in the morning gotta go and get my drivers liscence renewed (it expired back in Oct ), then gotta go get the tires rotated, check and make sure I've got everything, and hit the road! I did the oil change earlier tonight.
I've got an entire box of stuff "just incase", cuz I'm wonky like that. Hopefully it'll all be cool though. It's supposed to be socked in with snow in Iowa though, so somewhere south of there I'm gonna pick up about 10 bags of 90lb concrete to put a lil weight across my rear axle, and I've got some bitchin chains.

Get the free photo editor Picasa 3: Free download from Google easy to resize shots....they end up in "picasa downloads" folder all resized, you choose the size. You can also alter exposure, color, crop, and do more simple editing tasks.

Hello everyone, I know you all missed me. The cast is off and I am dancing again, (sort of). The dog had puppies, we scored a goat, the cows wont come home. It is raining, the dams are empty, hm, still, but all is just great mate. Does anyone know if we are sliding into some kind of serious economic disaster or will it just blow over. I need to know because I cant make up my mind wether to buy a bigger TV or pay off the credit card, just kidding. Seriously though, is it doom and gloom ahead, I dont even see the news any more, (the kids wont let me have the small tv), sorry to talk politics, they are so boring but then again there is nothing much else happening here to talk about. Does anyone want my address to send me an anominous valantines card, ha ha, pretty bad when you have to ask for one. Ok seriously, all is good. Annette

They'll both eat all the grass first but the goats will then move onto anything else providing the fences are good enough to keep them in.

("know" in the biblical sense.) That's Kiwi's, small Islands to the East, we've got to much land for them to get away in..

Good luck,

Just do what I do Therrin, get down on your hands and knee's and pull them out. Just did three day's of weeding garden bed's, but don't tell anyone I don't want the word to get out. Although I have another three day's next week as well .

AnnetteR, pay the card out and wait about another 5-6 months for that TV I think. I waiting for a few things myself, wait till you see what people are going to be getting rid of to lower there det.

Well I'm off two Dirranbandi tomorrow for two day's, tree work. Large heritage Bottle tree to remove at a school, full of internal rot and very unsafe. And mabie a 30meter gum tree that's been topped before, hmm will have to see what to advise.

Right now,i'm about to take the rear brakes apart on my truck, they locked on me yesterday and almost rolled my truck on me.After that,i'm pulling the head on my welder, and later bondoing the gas tank for my motorcycle. After the tank is bondoed and painted, all i need is to have a key made and i can drive it to test the tranny and see how it looks.Oh and i'm going back to the duplex i tore down to salvage some wood.

Well I've got a nice new (used) fifth wheel RV now... its sooooo great. And I can stand up in it, that's a HUGE bonus

So I've got 3 trailers now, and just been told that I've got 30 days to move out cuz of ....ranch politics. They're probably selling or something.

I'm gonna get rid of the medium sized one so that I'll just have the two.

Maybe I'll go live in the desert or something. Not enough work around here to keep a rent payment going. Noone's hiring now, people are laying off all over the place.

Trees are on everyone's minds as it is not the storm itself that defines the devastation but rather the trees falling on things that is the issue.

Weather has predictably slowed our production somewhat and within a week it went from 70 degrees to 30 degrees f working temps. Clothes piled up everywhere......in the trucks on the floors on the stairs etc., as they are put on and taken off as the day warms up and the body warms up. Been selling firewood slowly as last year it sold out in Nov. Figured I was selling it too cheap. Will sell it all over the winter but this year will make much more on about the same amount of wood. None of that small quantity sale that just is annoying and not profitable. We planted a whole $hitload of trees last week with the Dingo and stumpgrinder cutting the holes that made some big bucks.

Trying to think of what to do different next year to be more profitable while trying to read as much as time permits to "do the right thing" whenever possible.

Cheers

Work is going well. Lots of crane work lately. My company has city contracts in colorado so I have been doing a lot of pretty bad dead hybrid cottonwood removals. Don't know if you guys know cottonwoods but they are very brittle and a real pain when they are dead. Besides that just enjoying life working in the trees and hope everyone else is too.

My excavator buddy finally found time for me and cleared about an acre of dead blackberry so I could get to 8 dead trees (Black wattle & eucalypt) on the back of a clients dam. I dropped and cut them up a little with him following me and pushing them into burn piles for April.

Easy..

Lots of us have to deal with the big dead, or live cottonwood poplar. Pain in the ... even if alive. Very brittle and if alive you drop a limb on one below and the whole mess is filled with water and leaves...well it all goes down at once. You gotta watch where you put your weight and rigging. Lucky you have a crane to assist.

I've been bussy making VTA reports and visiting new clients. Further more I've started to make a maintenance plan for a Parksite nearby of 17 ha large together with a friend of mine who's also a treeworker.
In a few weeks all this will be posted on my website that I'm building as we speek.
