Also, is that backside plastic laminate available on any and all woods, or is that just for the birdseye maple? I mentioned quilted maple above, but I don't see that in your collection. Do you have that? |

And definitely that gorgeous vertical-grain, quarter-sawn sycamore. MMMMMmmmmmmmMmMMmmmmmmm. So you're really gonna make this so easy for me? And that any treeguy reading this thread can pretty much do the same thing? You're the coolest! |

Ok, looks like we have an order in the works! Did you want to go with 250 cards? Our minimum quantity is 100 cards. Now, I'm going to try to break this down, so I am sure to get the correct types of wood in your order. I am reading that you would like Birdseye Maple, Paulownia and Sycamore for sure. Is this right? |

We can do the high gloss coating on both sides or just one of the sides. Your choice! We can put the coating on most of the veneers except the Eastern Red Cedar...... and we will have to test the Paulownia. We have not coated Paulownia yet. |

| Well, then on behalf of the entire current readership to this thread, I accept on behalf of all of us, for us to be your Guinea Pigs ![]() For all the readership here at Treeworld.info, laminate all of us 50 Paulownia. Here's the order,: 50 gorgeous lacewood radiant sycamore, laminated both sides 50 pearl-white Aspen no laminate 50 stark white Birch no laminate 100 luscious birdseye maple, printed side laminated That's 250. Then the Paulownia, 50, mix between printed side lam, both sides lam, niether side laminated. 300. Custom order. And from the readership, they have a question, can you can ship (and how much?) the cards to Australia, Netherlands, Spain, Bermuda, Switzerland, Germany, Romania, Holland, Costa Rica, Mexico, UK, Isle of Man, Ireland, Italy, Tasmania, New Zealand and sweet Sister Sweden? As well as Indianapolis? ![]() And what would shipping costs to those places look like? When you work up the price, I give permission for you to share what that price is with the readership of this thread. Jim |

Why don't you laminate the fabulously scented aromatic red CEDAR? These have been a favorite card of mine for years, very beautiful and impressive, not a highly durable card, but most impressive. colorful, swirling grains, different colors..... MMmmmmmmmmmmmm |

Hi! Ok, I am putting in the request for the woods that you want for your order, so I should be ready to print the cards this week. Regarding shipping costs, it is hard for me to give you an exact price unless I have the actual address it is being sent to...... however, a round-about price for most of the international shipments of 300 cards by UPS is around $85.00 for shipping. US Air Mail would probably be a bit less expensive. Shipping cost for in the US is $9.00. Regarding coating the Cedar wood, we are not able to coat it because of the oils that are in the Cedar. With the way we coat the veneer, the oils cause a problem. Hope this helps!!! |

I'll look forward to getting them! One card will eventually get me one job that will obliterate the cost of the entire card order. Quite a good return on investment, these cards. Just for fun, let's crunch the price divided by 300: 130.75 ~ 300 = about 44 cents each, seemingly pricey, but if you're comparing it to a regular business card, you are comparing an apple to an orange. These are not the kind of cards you want to hand out 10 at a time. You may want a stock of 'regular' cards for that, and the wooden cards for your special peeps, to offer with the estimate, and for first impressions. Also, I went premium woods, fancy lamination, etc. One could just have your cards on plain birch, you can have the same visual impact for less dough. Tara, what's the price on 300 birch cards + setup? |

Hello!!! The price for 300 cards on Birch printed with 1 color of ink is $88.00 + set up of $15.00. So, the breakdown per card is $0.34 each. Thank you! Tara |

34 cents, 44 cents, we're splitting pennies in the big scheme of things. These cards give you, I should say, give me a certain feeling of professionalism. See, as treeguys, we already sort of have this public perception of being a little rough around the edges. Hi-impact business cards, I tell you, again and again, have been a conversation starter, job opener, job closer. These wooden cards, FOR A TREEGUY, have an effectiveness and character, some precise, perfect fit that plays out as some public affection that I can't explain. You see the reaction almost every time, and you know the compliment is coming. Be ready. Accept the compliment graciously and reply with a compliment of your own. "Why, thank you, I really appreciate that. I'm quite fond of your beautiful trees....." and so starts a new treeguy / client relationship. I would think the cards themselves lend the treeman a degree of credibility, and this is my feeling about their perception; a good business card must mean a good treeguy. Serious, people make early judgements based on looks. Looks of you, looks of your rig, your crew, your presence, your demeanor, your handshake, your estimate and since the card is THEIR TOOL by which they offer you to their friends, that should be the highest quality tool a treeguy can get. 44 cents. This is a slam dunk, my friends. In a world of dog-eat-dog competition, it's nice to have a 44 cent tool that seperates you from from the rest, displays a flash of quality and class, something that is a certain part of a positive first impression and one that will remain with the client as a lasting impression. |

Here's another regular occurance; People WANT to hand these cards out to their friends, sometimes I think because they like me, but I'm sure, often, because the cards are themselves are just so cool. "Gimme 10, I'll hand them out to all my friends." (although appreciated and valued, this reply works better) "How bout I give you three; one for you, and you choose your two best friends this year who live nearby." Less stress on them to fulfil later on their appreciative mood at the moment. They will keep their card. They will hand out two. No one throws these cards away, I mentioned that earlier. I had a client recently that came out with a teak card, scotch-taped together. I haven't used teak in 8 or 9 years! The new cards should be here very soon, I'll share with you all when they arrive. |

Cards arrived today. ![]() Two types, birch and maple. I like the maple a lot more, the grain finish with rings is way cool. ![]() Just not sure which maple it is, looks to be the "curly maple". In both sets of pics the beech is on top so you get to see the back of the card. I did a full colour job and looks good. ![]() ![]()

Yeah, I actually had to mail my stuff over to them first so they could get the artwork off it. Then some decision making and paying ... 10 days later they're here! That's bloody great. I ordered Honda parts from Melbourne Tuesday and they still haven't arrived.... fair dinkum mate that was a far better and faster service than I'm accustomed to around these parts. Now that they're "on file" re-ordering is easy. And you dont have to order stupid quantities etc, I only ordered 200 to see what they're like.
