Default Why the right viewing angle is important

Heres a good example of why the right viewing angle is important.

Its a mature Eucalyptus tereticornus located adjacent to the boundary line.

Image 7942 viewed from the South. (look here first)

Image 7943 viewed from the East. (gives a whole new persective of the problem)

The upper canopy is sparse and is severely infested with misteltoe, has multiple large deadwoods and has areas of necrosis. Its been scheduled for removal.

Cheers Mike

Hi Mike,
Good picitures So true you do have to look from all angles to properly get a good idea of the task ahead, and once in the tree it changes to a climbers perspective, any structuall damage unseen from the first inspection quickly changes our method of dismantleing, huge ears on that tree.Any vine in a tree makes the job at hand a so&so and hides all sorts of sins.

Crikey mate!

Nothing a few cable, bolts and Guy M couldn't fix.

But seriously, that's a HUGE set of elephant ears.

I hope you are decent enough to disect that when you do the TD and show us the insides at various cuts. This is more than just another job but a learning experience for customers.

When the facts are present we can change the name of the thread to something most appropriate.

Also an overall shot of the tree.

If you cannot accomodate these wishes please PM me and let me know the TD date etc and I'll try to get there for some shots ... it's important I think.

Since i mainly do consultancy now, i don't normally go out with my crews. But in this case i was going to do a full disection, mainly because its such an extreme example.

No date set for the works yet, will keep you posted.
