I dont disagree, however trees seem to obtain some unique unavailable methodology other assets are denied of?

Not bloomin much

But if I were to get it valued (or rather my wife was) then an appraiser would do it using a formula not that dissimilar to any of the tree valuation formula.

Often the value of your house is little, but the land it resides upon a lot.

well i'm actually quite interested in comparing the value, how many people do you meet who want beautiful trees, shade etc to live with, it's not just your house but your home and your environment which you choose to live in.

no need to be rude.

From what I can see, Ekka's really not into trying to change people's opinions (unlike some).

He's more into educating and letting people see for themselves whether they are going to hold onto their own opinions or not.

Seems when you draw attention to REAL ESTATE values to hypothetical values from any professors some get their knickers in a knot.

But in the real world I assure you, a home for your children, your family and a roof above their heads ranks #1 above any tree.

It also appears that some may not be accustomed to the recent hike in rents or real estate values. There is a serious affordability question here and complicating issues beyond true value simply doesn't cut the mustard. Tree preservation is an important factor ... so is housing people.

My objective, educated too, is too point out that balance, not succumb to it on either side.

Sorry mate but I still don't see how the process that apportions a monetary value to your house, land or car differs in any meanigful way to the way tree are valued.
