Default Watching each others back during work

Hi All,
We have key members to the crew but thats where its stops!Firstly you are a TEAM,every member has his job which is equally as important as the next mans,in this team(on my watch)everybody's responsible for everybody else's safety this is what team work is all about, Your key members are your climber and the man running the ropes, because these two workers have each others lives depending on each other,When me and John are doing a TD he allway instructs me how he want the cut section to leave the tree eg: how freely you let it fall untill you start braking it without shock loading the tree and catapoulting him into orbit, once the section is safely on the ground or in a position where it can be draged straight into the chipper minus the lowering rope,as you can see by description I gave is basic rotation of watching every ones back, before your cut starts everyones out of the DZ, all clear,While my attention goes to the limb the groundies watch for the public and my back, limb break away from tree all eyes on rapidly decending limb,at this time I lose sight of the climber as lowering the limb is my main concern, limb is breaked smoothly stoped and groundies called in to drag away,as soon as the groundies take control of the limb I look to see our climber is OK and send the rope back up for the section of Tree,I think this is a good rotation of watching every one back what do you think?

Sounds like exactly how a tight group of skilled workers should operate..very professional...very impressive, being able to maintain the same personnel over time is critical to being able to develop that kind of close cooperation and respect through the days work i think anyway, big turn over of staff big recurring problems.we're also lucky, there's only three of us and just like you we always watch each others backs so to speak, in fact when we have an extra bod on deck it can be quite hard for them in the first hour or so since our working methods are very rehersed (on most jobs) there's little chat just a look thumbs up, cut, rig down (or drop) then drag clear DZ and process and so on.

Your crew sounds like the kind of team I would feel most at home with.
