Default Vandalized by politics

Along Anzac Ave through Kallangur, there are many leopard trees. I regulary have to combat vehicles and pedestrians to prune them.

They have been vandalised by someone with too much authority and not enough knowledge. They have been installed with those bloody "Fairy Lights". Not only is it bad enough that they are being strangled by these lights that don't even work. But to make it worse they have those U brackets screwed to them to hold the electrical pipe in place!

On my paper work today i wrote that the trees have been vandalised and that this issue has to be addressed! if they want to illuminate the trees at night, why not shine a light up from beneath!

unfortunatly i have to balance that fine line between climbing the corporate ladder or being thrown into the dungeon.

Bloody hell!

Now you done it.

That's what I do when I see poorly pruned council trees, I ring and report vandalism.

Before the phone call is made it would be nice to find out if its the PRSC or MRD who control and look after those trees. I know that ownership is varied along certain lenghts of Anzac Ave.
I have also noticed the mentioned lights on my travels.

Cheers Mike

your right, mains roads and prsc do look after different bits. The prsc tree maintenance division is responsible for the up keep of the leopard trees. i'd start with prsc and if it's not them then they'll direct you elsewhere. I'm on the inside and abit hesitant to hassle the hirachy too much.
