Default Tree | Developer Farce Queenstown NZ

Tree chopping challenged - Queenstown - The Southland Times

So, let me get this straight after reading it a number of times.

A developer wants to fell a row of large pine trees in a reserve to gain views for his 30 story complex. Want to replace the pines "conveniently" with native bush (lot smaller).

Luckily a resident who's a lawyer has taken on the council for entertaining the "plan".

Quote:
One Mile Ltd wants to fell pine trees and clear undergrowth at One Mile Reserve because it would obscure views from a proposed 30-apartment complex, to be built in Thompson St.
