Therrin...very hard to give useful advice/opinion when there are numerous possible causes for the sudden decline in foliage vitality (of course the most obvious being loss of root function-a very common occurance to some degree during transplants). It could be overwatering, it could be an air space under or alongside the root ball, it could be other soil/root issues. Generally I would not advise the use of commercial fertilizers for a transplanted tree, rather the tree should have a well thought through soil and root treatment program that is associated with the pre-transplant soil works. We do get requested to examine failing transplants from time to time, but far less than you might expect (reflecting the amazing resiliance of trees to massive root injury!) Without knowing the time frame for the decline in the foliage...relative to the actual move...it is hard to say more; Root dessication during the shift often manifests in loss of live canopy, however its not possible to know if this is the case here or if something else is happening. |

Noooo, it's not my question.... the question was recieved via PM from Lawrence Neuburg. I simply created the thread since he wasn't sure how to go about doing it and asking the question. Please refer any correspondence to him.
