Hi

I have just started my training for cert III after working as a groundie for a few years and would like to learn as much as I can. Currently is Dip/cert V as high as you can train?

You can go to uni and study a range of subjects relating to trees ie' plant taxonomy, Botany, soils, invertebrate zoology, It depends on where you see yourself. I am a cert 4 Arborist and am studying environmental science which has the above mentioned subjects

Its hard at times but i am realy enjoying it. Cant be a tree climber forever and the industry here in adelaide is not the best, so i think a bit of a shift is required. Plus the starting wage of a environmental scientist is 60.000pa and only go's up. I want to effect change in environmental policies and to do that you need the creds
