Was back in the Redwoods today. Del Norte Titan is suppose to be 23.6 feet in diameter. Our measurement today - in the rain - was 22.55. Close enough. I'll add the photo to my own page a bit later: Redwood Grove Titans. Lost Monarch. Del Norte Titan. Coast Redwoods Man... the sword ferns were sure looking good today for winter time. |

Jeez, Mario... You've got some serious lost treasures in your part of the woods out there... Man cannot have enough appreciation for a tree like this. Should be a capital crime to try and take it down. |

For some reason, the 3rd one would not play. I could play or repeat the first two videos, but the 3rd video never played even after reloading the page. It's got to be there though. Saw the time, title, comments, etc.. I'll try back later.

If only we had those kind of forests here.... I'd be in 'em all day every day.... I saw the vids of the old growth forests. Gerald Beranek is an authority on this field but I can't agree with him on his point of view of felling the old growth trees. Like I said before... felling an old growth redwood is cutting a piece out of history. Respect must be shown for these trees. I believe it's ridiculous to even assume nature needs us to interveine when it comes to "renewing" the forests. We need nature, not the other way around. ![]() Actually, we need to look from a distance how nature overcomes most problems and learn from it, instead of discussing and argueing how we must help it. |

This one here is the local outfit: Tree Climbing Northwest: Grants Pass, Oregon Seems that both would be good options. Looks like one of the New Tribe people is responsible for the Weed Wrench that I've read about. New Tribe Company: Grants Pass, Oregon
