Some people are old enough to be experienced about how to treat you, how to phrase it so it seems like they're saving up SO MUCH and how you end up feeling just so bad for them.... its' like they're con artists.
I don't do stuff like that very often as i 've said Ken,as for the whole get laid thing, when i'm damn well good and ready, hell i 'll even get a girlfriend, just when i'm damn well good and ready.Right its not even on my to do list, much more important things.Priorities man.Sorry for the derail,we now return to your regular programing.

Ya know, ...a genie could promise me a lifetime of wealth, fame, no worries, good health, beyond imagination but....with no love

the other choice would be a weekend of love with a beautiful girl, fantastic sex...but you can only have one or the other. Man I would take the second one every time.

I got a whole lifetime of the second one with my wife. I hope you stumble onto someone you can love Bill. That is the way it often happens.

Threads can go off on tangents sometimes otherwise we could all be robots on here.

I just get irritated when people tell that i need to get laid,Remember where i posted the 3 rules for my friends? One of my best friends thought it was a good idea to set me up with a girl,i quit talking to him entirely. Its one of those things i'll deal with after i have other things taken care of,if i wanted too, lots of pretty girls ask me out all the time,i could have it,i just don't want it,not for right now anyway.

WHAT??? That's either the sadest thing I've ever heard or it's total bullshit.

Sorry to derail, but damn NG... not even get laid then, you just need to show someone a little affection. Just think there are ALL THOSE GIRLS who need your attention and you're letting them down. That's so cruel! Think of the love and kindness you could show them!

I was just in the hot tub here at the hotel... and like, DAMN... God managed to bless me with 3 girls in bikinis. We talked, we had fun, they splashed me, I splashed them. There's just something magical about that.

Normally, I'd do something about that but in 2 and a half hours I need to get in my truck with my mom and drive her 900 miles, and I dont wanna fall asleep because I was busy the night before. That's just not cool.

Okay so what was this thread about anyway?

Ohhhhh, tipping!!! Well in keeping with this thread's content, maybe I'll go back to that customer's house and let her "tip" me

Eh.... since it was brought up, I could never just go hook up with someone like that this soon out of a rough breakup. I'm too much of a softy. I still miss my ex, wish things could have worked out somehow. I just put on a show of being tough

Best tip I ever got was when I got done with a job in a pretty affluent community, I cleaned up a bit and the guy invited me to go with him in HIS car, some kinda BMW, and we went down to a local steakhouse and he bought me a steak.

You can't ask for much more than that

Years ago I got a reverse tip. We were on a 2 day job for a local veterinarian. His wife had showed me the trimming and removals when I bid the job. As we were finishing the clean up I spotted a small dead tree that had not been discussed...... You know where this is going......I removed the tree and was latter told "that tree was alive, we were nursing it". I ended up having to buy and plant a new tree for them. That was when I learned to never do any work I was not hired to do.

I used to get tips, though usually less than a dozen per year. With the recession these last 3 years, no tips but lots of heartfelt thanks -- almost as good,

oH I remember the best tip I got now. Back in my old crew when the boss was on holidays (he always took the tips we got ie: alcohol), we took out half a dozen Palms which were only about 3 metres tall. The guy worked @ Carlton Draught and he gave us a slab of Pure Blonde bottles, so 12 bottles each as we were only 2 at the time. Get the occasional tip at work now.

I scored a free lunch from the customers neighbours yesty, Removed a small jacaranda in a complex with no access to the back, I asked the neighbours if I could use their property as access they were fine. When i was loading everything up had a bit of a chat and commented that the food smells good and they said why dont you join us for lunch. Anywayz its a buddhist monastery so it was a tad surreal to sit down and eat with some monks, they are extremely friendly and gentle people and eat very healthy tasty vegatarian food.

I have to second Alopas call regarding stumps, especially if you are in a city like Sydney where the cost of living is sky high, I wouldnt ever be taking the machine anywhere for under $100, unless it was a neighbour.

Got a 20% tip the other day, working at the crappiest house in the street.

I was looking after them as he was recovering from coming off his bike, then they looked after me back.
