Default Tassie's Paper Mill

Telstra BigPond News and Weather

Seems a shame to me, re jobs for the Tassieites, but when I read this I thought well maybe it's a fair call?

That mill won't go ahead, and it shouldn't.

Maybe some job loses now, I feel sorry for them, but there'll be a lot more jobs in the future if it's stopped.

There is a full report and some good info here, Oldgrowth for export | Environment Tasmania

And I'm no greenie treehugger either.

I have a friend that lives in Tassie GG, she calls herself a tassieite so I do as well. I know the Tassieites are usually called Tasmanians though. I always feel a bit concerned about people getting jobs or losing them, but hopefully what DI says comes true.

Thanks for that link DI, I'll check that out tomorrow.
