Default Stihl's Are Great Saws, but

Always have a wedge or two.

Google Translate

There is part 2 & 3 as well. I don't think they bothered with part 4.

It's a youtube video, link works for me.

It didn't work for me either, but as I can tell from the remarks left by others, he wasn't the brightest candle in a wind storm. . Bruce.

And the scariest part is... they got away with all that stupidity. They'll go and tell their friends how smart they are, and how good they are at cutting trees.

Darwin missed one.

I don't give a Rat's Pa toot, what make, or model of chain saw it is. Any chain saw will work, just as good as good as the operator runs it.
If the chain saw operator is a Poor operator, the chain saw can't be blamed, for how poorly the operator uses the chain saw. Bruce.

Yeah, I kinda think the intention was to say "You can buy the best chainsaw there is, but that ain't gonna make you cut like a pro!"

How is it that a group of people can be that stupid. The tree was clearly leaning backwards from where they wanted it to go, and they obviously had no idea what they were doing. I have no problem laughing a little inside when people like that get killed by their stupidity. Actually, I usually laugh a lot, outside.
I used to work with a guy like that, too. One day he dropped this eastern red cedar into the middle of the busiest street in town all because he wanted to prove to me that he didn't need a line, and could drop it just fine with a wedge.

As i have said many times "any fool with a chainsaw can cut a tree down" how is it that everything we do in our day to day lives requires licences, permits and a shit load of paperwork but you can buy a chainsaw no worry's no questions asked?

The problem is that too many people out there, don't have a clue what they are doing, and that is just that.
If I go across the road, to help my neighbour cut up a tree, I have to have an operator's licence to run the chain saw. But if I cut fire wood on my farm, I don't need one.
Also over here now, a person has to have a licence to operate a 12' boat with a 6HP motor on the back of the boat.
There again, too many people out there don't have a clue, what they are doing, and the get thrown overboard, and drown.
What is the world coming to. Bruce.

There is nothing wrong with what he had done, to fell that tree. Heck for years, to fell those big Red Woods out in the Western States, of the US, and Western Provinces of Canada, they had no choice to fell a tree the way this guy did. Sure it was a lot of extra work, but it got the job done at the end of the day. Bruce.

That video was really funny! It had to have been scripted, staged and rehearsed. I think the tree was guyed at the top, cuz the cameraman never looked up. Liked the part of people stepping over the idling chainsaw.
