Yeeah, oi reakun thiere choice ey bro. Sweet as.

Seriously, i feel nude without them. If you get into the habit of wearing em when its not too hot your used to it as the weather warms up. But show em to someone whos never seen them on a 37 degree day and suggest wearing them and they look at you like your

I had one pair I bought to wear to college day, but the bell has tolled so go by the rules.

I generally used to wear them when I was ground sawing more, I reckon that's when ya legs are gonna cop it.

But now I have 3 pair, bloody dear, $200 a pair.

Here is a most bizzarre coincidence. Elizabeth and I visited New Zealand for two months (a couple years ago) and I had gotten a tip on some chainsaw pants from Timber McPherson. So before leaving home, I tucked the name of the place away in my kit.

About 7 weeks into this vacation, we're at the far south tip of the south island, in a city called Invercargill. I looked the place up and hooked up by voice of the guy whose name I had. He said, "Yea, c'mon in, mate."

We find the place and it's where they manufacture and test, of all things, Chainsaw Pants!

I thought we were going to a safety supply, but Timber gave me the direct link to the manufacturer.

This guy was real nice, gave us a tour through the whole facility. In the racks there were hundreds of pairs of blue chainsaw pants. I said, "Stihl?" and he said yes, they were the supplier for Stihl, Down Unda.

I think he was kinda flattered that an American would travel half way around the world and spend nearly two months to come get a single pair of chainsaw pants.

They were the best chainsaw pants I've yet used, a Summer mid-weight pant you can tolerate the heat in.

See

You dont have to make everything in crappy ole China do you!

Good on NZ, and if we had a govt here that cared about jobs we'd make more stuff ourselves.

Blundstone boots factory closing here, we make stuff all anymore!

"with labour costs in Asia up to a 20th of those in Australia and New Zealand."

"we've now become aware that our technology trail that we've relied upon so heavily to give us a competitive advantage in the last 20 years, by taking world-edge technology and using it, that is no longer being developed.

"All of the producers that are in low-cost locations, they're not terribly interested in a machine that saves a job." from http://au.news.yahoo.com/070116/2/1239n.html
