Here are a few picts of a beautiful willow oak approx 3 and half ft. dbh growing out of the parking lot of our local country club by maintenance. It is likely around 70 years old.

One of my favorite trees in the area Trev. Be nice if they would move the parking lot in it's favor. It does get hit with the huge golf course sprinkler system though.

This last Wed I got on a bus.
The trip lasted 48 hours, and deposited me in Carthage, Missouri. ; about 2,200 miles later.

I told a good friend once that if she ever needed me, she could call from wherever and whenever and I'd take care of it. Well she called and said she was moving back home to Lancaster (where I live). Relationship didn't work out. I know that one pretty well myself <Therrin remembers Chicago>
She didn't want to make to make the drive by herself, incase something happened to the car, and so she wouldn't be alone, etc.

Soooo... caught a bus out there. Met her ex, nice guy, napped there for 4 hrs, then she and I drove to central texas and stayed at my grandparents place for the evening. Spent the day with them, then yesterday evening we left texas at 7pm, and arrived back here in Lancaster, Ca by 3pm. 20 hrs of driving straight through, about 1400 miles, alternating turns at the wheel.

Had a good time. Glad to get home. Been sitting in one kind of seat or another for 5 days straight and mah bum is a bit sore.

Good friends are hard to come by but I think she's pretty special.

Also bought a rifle off Grandpa during the trip. Remington 700 in .300 win-mag. Beautifull piece, shoots nice and straight, lots of power and hard hitting.

Well, you could have told us before you left. I was worried about you, was even going to ring you, but my Bubble card expired & it's $10. I knew you'd be OK.

As for foshezy's pic: Andreas is crying, and Emil Lerp is

Vines really complicate a job don't they? Interesting appear to be conical wedges. Are they raised or something to not get spit out?
