| I'm on hire for those who find themselves short of a standby climber, just in case someone trys looking like a Christmas tree ornament.. A mate of mine did once, got his leg caught in his line after standing on a dead branch that snapped and couldn't get it out....Looked like a bat for the first 5 minutes after I stopped laughing and went up to sort him out. Working for a pub landlord, my mate went in for a scoop while I finished the job. That'll teach me, huh!

| We did some pruning on another Liquidambar today. I went and had a climb myself which was good as i dont get to often enough now. 2 of us in the tree, 1 on the ground. This job was only 500m from my place! Anyway, a few hrs up in the canopy, beats a day drivin round quoteing i reckon. Job entailed some weight/spread reduction in the lower 2/3rds of the canopy. Has had some dodgy lopping on the low branches, stubs everywhere so cleaned all them off and deadwooded the rest of the tree. Then i helped the boys ddo the next job, a Flowering Gum Removal & stump, then left em to the next job, back to the office for me. |
