Agood friend brought me a gas golf cart to fix,how come i always get machines that are always really messed up,for starters it had over a quart of water in the engine, all the wiring was messed up including a ground on the hot side of the solenoid, carb was completetly gummed up and of course flat tires.

Probably because they know you'll take it NG =)

Damn near killed myself on a tractor today. Those buggers are monsters, I've a healthy fear now.

Was headed up an incline to put in trenching for a solar array system up here on a Massey Ferguson 50A. Raised the bucket up a bit (I really didn't think it was very high), so that I could see and so it wouldn't hit in front of me. Wheels slipped on something and the whole creature went over backwards.

It got hung up on the excavator hangin off the back end (it was swung up and out a bit for clearance) and stopped it in a dang near vertical position. Swung around and hit for the boom to ease it back forward till I was safely on all fours again. Scared the livin crap outta me!

I'll never make that mistake again!

(I'd probably get reamed for this on a tractor forum)

Come to think of it NG, I know JUST the person you should go work for!

He could probably even teach you to do a wheelie in a bobcat. If he sticks a camera in your face, run away, cuz otherwise you MIGHT end up on youtube!!

Yesterday and today I watched while going about my business, near my lot, an Asplundh crew with 5 men on the ground in fluorescent bibs, the city with 4 men on the ground, a 65 foot bucket truck with an inhabitant and a climber 30 feet above the totally outstretched boom take 2 eight hour days to strip out a big oak to the 40 foot trunk that still remains there.

We took out a little bigger oak a few years ago that was it;s mate, a hundred yards down the road with my big picker, one groundman and a 55 ton crane and operator and had the entire tree down, ground level and off the site in less than 6 hours.

I would calculate that to be 176 man hours to our 18 man hours and who knows how they were going to get the rest out bent over the hots? It they are going to get a crane, why didn't they get it earlier?

I wouldn't have taken a video if I had one as I wouldn't want to make the climber more nervous, but bad tree work is hard to watch.

Went and got struts for the van today.Tommorow i get paid for the golf cart.1,000 dollars worth of sheet metal.Next project, building myself a bigger shed.I'm gonna build me a work bench heavy enough to support a v-8 engine so all i'd have to do is take off the oil pan set it on the bench and rebuild one should the need arise.its nice to barter sometimes.

But NG, California is waiting for you!!!

With all the plans you've got right now, you're leaving the entire state here with baited breathe to know when you'll be approaching.

I can just see you telling your grandkids some day "Yuuup, when I sell that old truck out back, Ima be on my way to Californ-eye-aye... one of these days here...yup... what're you laughin at you little whipper-snapper? Go shoot some ground squirrels, I'm gettin hungry!"

Will put some pics up later

Bill i suggest one of these rather than just a bench.. suppose you have to turn the motor over to work on the other side????

Engine Stand
