| Very nice truck Clem. Maybe better off w/out AC as Bill spoke of. I just hate to go in the AC and then go back out a real cooker of a day. Would rather just bake all day and stay used to it. |

| Cheers treevet ![]() Think your spot on 'bout the A/C. I can't Imagine the weather in Cincinnati, but the Latitude looks about the same as us, around 39.5, so imagine it cooks some days. Think A/C would be a must in Oz though, especially on long journeys, but if your just jobbing about no need. It must affect fuel economy to some extent though. Simon, you are too kind, shucks The wooden sides add character but meen more maintenance in the future, luckily not too much rain here though.

| Clemmy if some of the more qualified members took the time to contribute as much good humour to this forum as you do, Treeworld would be a better place. (and you dont even work in the tree industry????) You make me piss my pants in laughter so often, i'm thinking of buying incontinence pads. (that picture of the easter bunny) ![]() ![]() Always happy to help mate. I dont have any Tree qualifications, but i am a Qualified Diesel Mech. so if you need any help/advice, sing out. Have you thought of a name for the old girl yet? Maybe you could think of a few names, then post a thread with a poll, and we can pick one for ya! Cheers Simon ![]()

| Nick, running an a/c pump does affect yuor gas mileage to some extent. As for stereos i can get a cassete player with 2 4" speakers for 25 bucks brand new. That would be the easiest thing in the world to change the fuel pump in.I wish i knew before you were in the market for a flatbed because i got one for sale.

| Just got back from Arizona... spent the weekend doin a job in Bullhead City. Weather was actually pretty peachy. Nice nights. Hit up the Laughlin, Nv casino's one night for a nice steak dinner and a little one-on-one with the one-armed bandits. They won, for the most part =( I stared in mute horror at some of the "tree work" I saw. Then again there's only about 20 trees in the whole city, so it makes it pretty obvious. Lotta palms though, they have em pretty nicely kept up. I'm pretty dissapointed though, apparently noone under the age of 60 ever visits that place. Kinda ruins the nightlife.

| We are pre-emptively removing ash trees on a large convent we have maintained the trees on for many years. We are removing trees with issues outside of the impending infestation (10 miles away) that have structural and health deficiencies and are in high level target areas. This improves safety while spreading out the budget for the Sisters. They will not be so taxed when infestation reaches and left vulnerable as far as safety is concerned. We are working at a reduced rate and we are going to plant many trees for free as far as labor goes and just charge cost of trees and materials. In addition this will reestablish a canopy for the future from now instead of later. I love to shop for trees. I can make sure they get appropriate species and high quality specimens and they are planted properly. They will be protected from deer damage and mower damage with fencing. |

| Rigged out the head of my first ever palm today. Went well. Would of had it ALL on video (including taking off the fronts and dead crap with my handsaw) but my bloody phone died and it didn't get to "format" he file so I got shit all :'(. Was a manicured garden inbetween a state of the art granny flat and a latussed shelter. Then we moved on to remove a 30' ornamental fig from this ladies garden... The roots were starting to go really crazy...

| John i bought a folding handsaw that was intended for palm cleaning but that little thing is just so handy.I figured with just a handsaw it would make cleaning easier[instead of dragging a chainsaw up=)].

| hi all, just spent last two days sorting out all new equipment for my business after some little b******s broke into my van and had away both my saws and my lawn mower (i do garden maintenance as well) and the leaf blower but thankfully they were disturbed before they got their mitts on my climbing gear and lowering gear and winch. The van door is waiting to be repaired on the insurance and all my new gear arrived today on just the say so of the insurance company ( the National Farmers Union Mutual tradesmans policies are quite good!!!) |
