Yep, fair description of them here too. Euc Robusta. We also have a lot of Southern Mahogany here, Euc Botryoides. Usually not quite as crappy looking as the Swampies

Osb I hope it goes well for you.

You're a gentleman from my experience and buggered if I know what job you lost or why, just doesn't feel right.

Used to be a very ole tradition laying off people near Christmas, then they'd hire back in February.

In this job turning up and being smart whilst wearing PPE is 3/4's of the battle, early birds catch worms and soon when there's a shortage or an opportunity the bosses put you on. Sometimes people put you on in jobs that aint suited, to give you work and try to keep you till something better comes along.

Hang in, chin up, they say what you think about you bring about ... religious people call it Karma, keep doing the good thing and it will pay off.

On the bright side, we needs pics of that arboretum. Imagine that, we could even put that place on the map.

Had the benifit of working with an excellent goundsman yesterday. Hes out of work because his boss, who owns his on tree service, cut into the top of his right hand with a chain saw. They were cleaning palms and he was using only one hand with the saw. His boss didn't have insurance, so he waited a day before going to the hospital. Something like one hundred stiches.

Thanks to forams like this one, and reading about what can happen, and does happen in our profession, I'm always thinking safety now.

Thx

Tinkered on a Walnut tree today - one in NE Portland that i worked on a few years ago.

The people left a message at my home in southern Oregon just in the nick-of-time, before I left Portland. So I stayed one more day and tonight. Should be heading back tomorrow about 6am - arrive about 11am in Jacksonville.

Don't have a card to unload my camera from today, but here's the before and after photos from a few years ago in the dormant season

The tree developed nicely in the past few years. I only removed a few lower limbs and cleared it from the house this time.

Very rainy cloudy day, but here is the same walnut tree (2 replies before this reply): leaves starting to fall. You can see how little was removed this time compared to last...

Here's a peek from above where all the leaders converge.

Some decay in old wounds, but plenty of sound wood ... you can see the handsaw blade on the end of my polesaw for an idea of limb and trunk size ...

Hay, NewGuy,
What's the crack with these tires, am I confused with "Tyres"?
How do these hurt you? What happened?

i was breaking down a tire off of my truck to put a new one on and while i was prying on the tire with a crow bar something I have done a hundred times the bar slipped and smacked me right in between 2 ribs and it hit my lung enough to make me lose my breath for a second.I'm alright considering but I wish someone else would have been there to video tape it so it could go on americas funniest home videos. How many points for that back flip again? Thanks for your concern.oh btw i got the tire changed.
