Great, and power goes underground off that pole.

So take a bit off the top and sides and fell it.

Hey, why all the cost of a picus test, are the trees protected?

You guys have the best looking trees over there. Eucs, figs, gums, cocos, palms, etc. It always looks like you guys are cutting in a tropical arboretum.

Looks a good job, big tree with plenty of room to work. Hate those big ones in a townhouse back yard with no access and blocking for 2 days.
You have a heap of fun!

Don't suppose they gave you a copy of the picus read out? have yet to see one that even comes close to the actual decay pattern in the cross section after felling (except the ones they show you in the brochure of course!)
If you have time take a shot of the low stump cross section.

Telescopic tower work today.

1 dead cotton palm (washingtonia), was alive before we got there.

3 dead gums, also were alive before we got there.

Common denominator for these deaths today was vanity.

Yes, they were all ugly and had to go.

Thought I'd give you a laugh posing with 1400 watts of pure cutting power, plus PPE (sunglasses). The customer lent me the saw cos his back is too bad to use it.

These little palms, pruned 6 in all, real easy going cos they're so small but F....'n 'ell there sharp, got spiked a couple of times. The leaves are soft at the top but rock hard near the base, spears, like I need to tell you!
A pair of gauntlets would have helped.

Respect to those that have to deal with large ones on a regular basis.
