I banged down 3 gums this morning out of the bucket and had the helcam on.

When I checked out the 30 mins of footage all I had was sound .. NO BLOODY PICTURE!

That sucks!

THen I did another job, and bugger me, was hauling these cuban's to the tip and bam, BLOODY TYRE GOT 3 NAILS AND BLEW ... so I had to buy new tyres and got home in the dark but finished the jobs.

I'm hoping the batteries were flat on the bullet cam otherwise PITA getting it fixed, I really like that camera. I'll just drink more beer, bugger it.

Bit o bad luck there ekka.

The guys spent the day back at the job on the first page of our website.
Beautiful location, surrounded by mansions on the cliff top overlooking the bay. Sounds cushy, but a damn steep drag up to the truck!

Back there tommorow, hoping to get it done in 2 full days, will try for some new pics!

Got a call first thing this morning for an Aerial Rescue. A cat had been stuck in a tree since Sunday, and as the fire brigade don't do it any more, they said to call me. Poor thing was frightened as hell, so a few scratches involved.
The fire brigade, by all accounts, don't do it any more because of health and safety. A few officers had fallen (so the lady was told) and were not covered for animal rescues.........
So why do they have all the equipment and training, that the government pay for with our Tax money? Think I've just found my new sponsors for rescue gear........
Spent the rest of the day cutting hedges. should have gone

Gotta fell a huge back leaning Ironbark tomorrow on acre-age ... no room for mistake.

But I'm working with a guy I never worked with before so I'm a little worried, do I trust him to cut or drive the 4wd which has the pull line attached.

I think I'll cut, he drives, it's these guys who take off premmy that worry me or stall a manual.

Hey Ekka,
How did it all go ? Ours went of without a hickcupp..I got a phone call from a currie today about a TD on his property and all he was worried about was if we had 10 million $ public liability, He told me council said anybody could do it as long as they had 10 mlls worth..didn't worry about nothing else...you would think they would recomend using a suitably trained/qualified arborist. Its not helping the hack problem by saying that!

Today went all OK.

I had to pull one and so did he, all good.

I nicked named him Young Bull. You know the ones, 12 months experience, around 20 years old, full of testosterone and ego.

Bloody funny, I can see why the young ones are so thin now ... no planning, up down around, bar stuck, rope stuck, throw line stuck, brain stuck!

So I just waited for the right moment and reminded him ... YOUNG BULL.

Funny how they know it all, but until today he thought a big shot was all BS like electricians sending an apprentice down the stores for a left handed screw driver.

He goes, "why aint you climbing these?" Oh, coz I'm the kanga driver and loader and all this shit is going to fit. He goes. " I can drive those, piss easy".

So later he sneaked on the Kanga, grabbed a cocos head, popped a mono and spun a bit, it chucked him off and he was beat!

"YOUNG BULL" I goes.

Was a funny day that's for sure.

Hey Ekka, that sounds a bit like my Bro-in law. Have to keep throwing him a towel, to wipe behind his ears. For sure, he can do it better than me, 'IT' meaning everything.... I gotta test drive a rally car for him at the weekend, so he doesn't smash it up on the first corner
