Well, it's Sunday here, just finished my pricing and finally a day to rest, I haven't been very active on the forums of late because I'm so tired. I've got every day and weekend booked through July 14th, might only work a half day on Father's Day though. Been thinking about raising my prices, but I walk a fine line between the pick-up guys and the multi-truck companies; my hit rate is over 90 percent and I'm starting to get a lot of referrals. I priced 5 jobs this morning and received the go-ahead with every one on the spot. Anyway, I'm going to have a late breakfast and watch some T.V.

Just got home from Bundy

Mate, took ages, busy as with couple of bad prangs blocking the highway for a few hours.

Default Crane Removal

I got to climb a 50 foot Maple in a tight backyard. We craned it out over the house. 9 pieces and it was done. I wish we could do all our jobs like this 'cause I really hate working out of a bucket truck. I don't get to climb enough.

Small gum tree removal tight spot, all went really well photos posted. Aerial inspection of four Ficus benghalensis in a state primary school. Got a tall coconut to climb tomorrow, hope its not windy! Will post some shots of the view of Townsville from the top.

Default Fence row clearing

Worst job possible! Cleared a 6' chainlink fence row today. Two large volunteer trees and as much ivy and honeysuckle as one could tolerate. 7:30a.m. to 2:00 pm(cdt). Ivy was tangled in 2 cable lines, 2 phone lines and a primary power line. 92* and 90% humidity with no shade in sight.

Do cocanuts compress like palms or do they have they're own difficulties. The worst tree in the midwest USA in my own humble opinion is an overgrown Mulberry.

Ya flamin nuts!

You did the round trip in a day.

That's what, 1200KM's?

I'd have thrown in a motel for the night with a bar tab.

Yep, pretty damn tired but I did screw up the distances round trip 700km (Townsville-Cairns 350km not 600 as I said on the phone) my excuse is I was suffering from tree grief when we talked since I was looking at what is left of Anzac park in Innisfail(after cyclone Larry) nature can be unbelievably destructive sometimes...Next time I'll keep my mouth shut and take the airplane flight.

On Friday I trimmed a bunch of citrus and fruit trees, both for decent scaffold fruiting limbs and fruit... objective was that fruit be within reach.

Sprayed them for fungal and sap suckers.

Now although they were over watered, over mulched, and over fertilized the thing that really knocked them around was the PH4 reading that needed like 500grams of lime per m2 to get back to some normality.

I can say, it being a fast and easy test (PH TEST) is the most overlooked as well.

The rain washed us out yesterday and today, the ground is a big mud slush too.

So I'm pretty computer bound today, gunna finish up a few forms I've been working on for the business and I'm going to adjust my work out plan... Fun fun fun.

Yeah, you know they are one of the most frustrating trees to remove, twisty little twigs on every br
