Default Ruined soil help

Hi:

I used to have this wonderful tree that produced quite a bit of aprocotts each year. The whole tree would be filled with hundreds of approcots that were tasty.

I got the silly idea of trying to fertilize the tree by burying dog manure and a dead animal near the tree root.

This was 7 years ago. Soon after that, the tree must have gotten over fertilized and stopped producing fruits. It has been 7 years and the tree has not come back. This has been a question that has been bugging me.

What can I do to bring this tree back? How do I reverse the burn that I put on the root? Also, if I reverse the soil conditions, will the tree come back? I have heard that sometimes trees never come back from an injury, but I am hoping that I can bring this tree back by fixing the soil conditions.

Please help me with ideas and the steps I need to take in order to save this tree. The leaves are fine and the tree look fine, but it is not producing fruits.

Please help.

thank you in advance.

How many roots where damaged by digging at the base of the tree? Its probably high in nitrogen right now but my gut says root damage.

the dead body would help the tree eventually but the dog feces contains coliform bacteria that are long lasting and poisionous to plants water ways and aquatic life it is regarded as an environmental pollutant.
