Default PPS presentation of recent Newcastle floods

Had to manually upload, it's like 1.8mb but worth seeing.

We got nothing like that up here and the dam stats around the nation are still very bad ... the big ship is HUGE that got washed up on the beach in 18m waves!

Here's a link to the latest dam water levels around the nation. Only Adelaide seems to have gone up. Smart them crow eaters.

And looks like today Newcastle/Sydney copping it again ... hopefully some in their dams.

Default When The Weather Gives Us The Bird!

Hi Ekka,
I just watched PP pres of the floods in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs,I grew up going on Xmas holidays at Belmont on Lake Macquarrie about 25 Ks south of newcastle and I tell you when the conditions are right all hell breaks loose, the locals call it "The Black",I've experienced my fair share,I remember my Dad putting our car in between the hurricane like winds and our tent and tying it to the tent,he used to say to us if it blows away it does'nt matter anyway???truely scary stuff. You know there's a history of ships being blown aground in that area not 8Ks Nth..across the harbour entrance and up the beach..that close another boat (Ship) called the "Sygna" is still sitting rusting away from when it was blown aground over 30 years ago..so all I can say is good luck with their attempt to salvage it,however when you consider the amount of ships mored of the coast of Newcastle at any one time it's not a bad record really, and the stories of storm created disarster continues down the cost aswell such as a section of the old Sydney to Newcastle Hwy collasped wiping out a young family in one foul swoop...I know we needed the rain...but it's seems to be "feast or famen" and no in between..it's been bucketing down here,on and off, mostly on though for about two weeks now.Typical Australian weather conditions..one extreme or the other, both equally as bad as each other!
