Here's the tree, been through eyebolted and steel cabled, some slack in the cables though .... not good for karate effect. 3 cables, unusual configuration, I think due to condition of central leader the idea was for the outer 3 leaders to hold the middle one not vice versa. Some issues with holes, decay and crotches as you'll see. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Jeez, that's a big ask. How long ago was it done? Maybe 3 years to 5 years? To guess logically you'd have to say a company or individual who does consulting or L5 work. Also some-one who isn't a crazy tree hugger as they drilled it (tree huggers go for non invasive techniques). Also as it is council's tree then a company that contracts to council or a council crew themselves. But as to which company or individual I don't know, could be 1 of perhaps 10 Steel cable was IMHO the right choice, just needs retensioning and some of those nasty crotches need inspection again and perhaps some reduction for the affected limb. ![]()

Seen some craptastic bracing in an Acer negundo in Queens Park the other day. Tree was full of deadwood and a couple of broken branches with tables and chairs underneath next to a playground.
