Fess up then, not like anyone could have pulled this off.

There's a video in the link worth watching too.

Police find pot growing in tree | turnto10.com

WESTPORT, Mass.—A marijuana grower was growing pot in burlap sacks tied to a tree about 30 feet from the air, police said Wednesday.

“I certainly didn’t expect and no one else would have expected it to be marijuana plants that were growing inside bags,“ said Det. Jeffrey Majewski of the Westport Police Department. “It’s a first for me and this is my 20th year in law enforcement.“

Police said a neighbor first noticed the sacks in the tree. The tree was located down a dirt path and 100 yards from the nearest road.

“It blended pretty well with the branches of the trees,“ Majewski said. “When you were standing there looking up at it, you definitely noticed there was something out of place.“

At first, police couldn’t tell what was in the sacks.

Police said they used binoculars and thermal imaging before borrowing a highway department bucket truck to see what was inside.

“You couldn’t even ascertain what it was until you got about five feet away from the actual bags. That’s how secretive it was in with the branches and leaves. When I got closer you could tell it was marijuana growing out of the bags,“ Majewski said.

Police said the sacks were filled with potting soil and weighed more than 20 pounds. The largest plant was about five feet tall but none yet produced buds.

Police confiscated the plants and were unable to find any others in the area.

Because of the remote location, police said they don’t realistically expect to find who planted the pot in the tree.

30' from the Air. . Shouldn't it be 30' from the Ground? By the sounds of it, that cop was into it himself, and didn't know which was up, or down. Bruce.

haha they do always seem to stand really close when they're burning the stuff. also why burn it? it soaks up sewage really well. why not hurl it into a sewage treatment plant? would make sure no one smokes it thats for sure

There was a house fire in the canyons where I lived several years back that caught an unnoticed pot-farm on fire.

They were sending firefighters to the hospital with all kinds of "strange" symptoms, then eventually found out what happened. You'd think they woulda smelled it no? dang...
Nothin like a hundred stoned 1st responders walkin around. "Hey ya'll, you want some oxygen too? weeeeeeee!"
