Default 1 and 2

i try to use 2 hands, but honestly in some situations the old one hander comes out. I tell me groundcrew to "look over there" then bang i smash a one handie out.

I would perfer to use 2 hands at all times, but is it always realistic to do so? in the interest of effeciency one handing is unfortuneatly needed.

if i've got a decent chunk of wood over something valuable i don't always trust my snap cuts......maybe i just need more practice.

thanks

LOL, or you get over cautious and need to be a damned gorilla to snap the bugger, what about when you are overlapping them cuts and the piece starts to wobble.

Never seen a 141, I could one hand my 021 at a pinch, but so far I seem to be able to do my work with both hands on my saws. The 020t has been used one handed on occasion.
But why am I defending my apparent inability to one hand? I'll continue to do what works and is safe!

Oh boy the number of times I've made myself look stupid doing exactly that.

Now, now there is no need to SHOUT!
I am perfectly aware a 141 is manufactured by Husqvarna, just that in our mid atlantic speck of land there is not a great range of huskys here, most saws are Stihls.
Take a deep breath newguy, one day you will have cut many more trees and then you can start posturing properly.

I just happened to be using Young Bull's 120 today.

Frig that is a heavy saw!

I still did the East Coast drop start though, no worries.

The east coast drop start works like a charm.I drop started a stihl s 10 in a tree once then one handed it through a 12 inch diameter limb. That saw had a 24 inch bar and weighed a little better than 20 pounds.

Young Bull was one handing the 200T today, got bitten!

Yep, crossing arms over ... his left over the saw toward the right of his body holding the limb above the chain.

Cut the small limb then went to pull it to his left hand side and ran his hand along the decelerating chain on the top of the bar.

Looks like I gotta get the famous whistle out for Young Bull.

Couple of nasty nicks but he soldiered on like true Young Bull, we did a detol wash and I told his dad.
