Default New Zealanders compete in ISA Texas TCC

Texas had its annual Tree Climbing Championship April 4 & 5. Two new Zealanders, Scott Forrest and James Kilpatrick competed in a crowd of 37 climbers.

Scott and James had the fastest times in the Work Climb with both coming in at 3 minutes, 12 seconds. The next fastest was our State Champion, Miguel Pastenes at 3:27.

Overall, James would have placed second with Miguel beating him by a slim margin.

James went onto "compete" in the Masters Challenge and gave us perhaps the best climb of the day. Time wise, he almost timed out as he had a little trouble setting his throw line but once set, he had a great climb.

Attached is a photo of Scott on his descent.

LOL, Go Kiwi's .... on yah Jim!

That's what happens when you tour the world and get some Euro practice.

I've said for a long time those Kiwi's especially through Wintec college are ants pants, and they're also fair dinkum crane trained proper tree workers.

Love to see kiwis fly. Good on you guys, and thanks ekka, for the support, we are a pretty small community down here but we work damn hard at being the best we can. Wintec and the Hito programmes are great and it is pushing our community to use the best practise on every job.
