Default New to Land Clearing, Need Advice

Hello,
I had a customer call me for a land clearing job and he basically has rows and rows of 40 foot pine trees.

Looking for recommendations as to the best way to complete this job (what tools, equipment, how many man crew)

Once I figure the best way to complete the job, I can figure out a price to quote. I rent my equipment so please keep this in mind.

We generally do tree trimming and removals but are venturing into land dev.

There is an open area of land next to all the trees so we can definitely fell the trees if this is the best method. After that is where my questions begin if this is the best route to go. (as opposed to having a tree spade or other equipment up root) Would I then want to cut them in sections on the ground or is there rentable equipment to move it whole.

As for the removal, I would have a tractor trailer truck with grapple hook pick them up.

I'm guessing I would need to cut the trees at leasts 3 or 4 times just to fit on the truck... How then is the best way to move the cut trees?

In addition, what if he wants all the stumps removed? What would be the best method here?? Stump Grinding??

I would really appreciate any and all your thoughts.

Thank You.

18" or larger chipper with at least a 6t excavator with a grab. You can also use it to dig the stumps out.

Is the excavator used to uproot the trees or just to move them around? If I have a mulch company picking the logs up for free, do I need the chipper or leave that to them?

The excavator usually has a grab and can load the chipper, it can later remove stumps.

Here unless the logs are large we generally chip them.

If you are salvaging logs that means stripping off branches I suppose.

Not sure the type of pines either.

You can also get large chippers that have winches or even jib/crane on the back if excavator is not required etc.

Sometimes bobcats are great too for loading the chipper, but not so good for getting stumps out, that's where excavators are handy but their ground speed is slow.

Each situation has it's own uniqueness I suppose. Can you get the chipper right next to each tree? stuff like that matters.
