Default Meteor damaged tree?

I cant think what else could have damaged this tree, but a piece of space junk.
Branches were snapped off from crown to the first whorl.( Norway Spruce)
Some of them being up to 80mm thick.
If I get a chance, will look for evidence of the object on the ground.

Well, I certainly would like some pics.

Hire a metal detector and scan the area.

At first I thought lightning strike but I have seen them before and this was nothing like it.
Branches were cleaved outboard of the trunk itself and pretty much in a straight line not quite vertical.
I tried to get a photo but you cant get enough detail of the damage.

Have you seen any killer robots cyborgs wandering around looking for ms Sarah Conner. It just may be a T150 sent back in time & landing on your poor spruce.

Or a possum...
