Default Logging in Australia

Perhaps some of our learned members could answer a couple of questions for me. My state government in Victoria was quick to tell me that fully 20% of the state was State and National Park, but have been unwilling or unable to tell me how much is State Forest. Does anyone have the figures for each state in Australia? Also I read recently that in Europe 80% of forest are available for logging and 20% are reserved for 'conservation values', evidently here only 8% is available for logging. (No wonder that agroforesry is taking off! ;-) )

I cannot see the sense in 'bailing out' the Tasmanian economy when they shut down the only viable industry in the state!

Cheers
