| Yes some good points, except writing to Al Gore, ![]() About the same time here Optus just starting hanging cables everywhere, as if we didn't have enough poles & wires to contend with. Then a few years later started telling people who had connected to clear their trees from Optus cables. ![]() |

| 14 years old but still relevant--utility trenching is a big tree killer here. Much of that is avoidable, some not.

| In the last big storm we had over here lots of trees were blowed down because of rootdamage through digging for cables. I know of streets close to my home where cable companies dug at two seperate moments in on year. I'm convinced that these kind of practices combined with roadreconstructions are the biggest treekillers in Holland. |
