For me,its not only continuesly providing me with new knowledge of trees, its also a place i refer every tree guy i meet, all my clients, its helped me convince most of them that topping is bad, also impressed theheck out of them with other members videos and brought some respect back to our industry,at least with them.i would like to take a moment to say thank you to Eric Frei[the owner]for all his time and hard work in making treeworld the sucess it is,and i would also like to thank every member here, especally some of the older treeguys for thier willingness to listen to and put up with noobs like me and to offer some really good advice, even if it was don't do it because your not experianced enough. Thanks all.

Ahh TreeWorld.....

When I was a keen groundie TreeWorld made me want to be an arborist.

I did the course.

Now I'm an arborist TreeWorld makes me a better one.

I learn from this site, I am motivated by this site.

This site is Eric's 'baby' which I guess makes him a genius parent. His only mistake is that it should be called Tree Universe. (or university because it is so damn educational).

Thanks Eric and all the other Arbs who contribute.

Very eloquently put, treeworld helps me as a business owner and treecarer to see that other people are having the same problems and finding ways to overcome them, this site is educational at a truly proffesional level, it enables further education in tree issues to be worked on at a higher level and goes hand in hand with the books and thoughts of the top pro's og which there are many on here. thanks eric

TreeWorld helps me everytime I get on here, as I am no guru and live so far from anywhere.
The information that I get from all the posts and people help me to understand how to conduct better tree pratice's nearly everyday. I have changed so many way's I do things to give the customers and the tree's a better job.

Last of all, thanks Ekka for providing people like myself access to as much information to make the understanding of tree work better everyday.

Keeps me patient and sane when I'd prefer to come loose about something.

Except then I read something Bill wrote and I come loose anyhow

Firstly, I'm pleased that Tree world is an Australian site for a change as most of the bigger forums are always based in the USA, and while I have nothing against our USA friends, is just a factor that I appreciate.

Being an Aussie site, I can only expect the Aussie attitude towards things and with trees the same apply. However, and regardless of how many "characters" we have in here (I may have been ear tagged as one, anyway...!), and the silliness as a result, I have had my most success with Tree World in the identification of tree species that I have.

I learn also from others experiences and pics from their questions, observations and statements. There is undoubtedly, and never ending level of knowledge and willingness to help, among many of our more experienced members but, is the mix of what we have here that makes the place so inviting as source of information.

We all add a bit to it, here and there and some how, other may find it useful or interesting so, there are never bad or stupid questions, as much as they may look/sound, many of these are the indication that someone is starting and having the same questions, doubts and views as we had when we started so, is all a natural circle of life...!

Here, as in any other Internet forums, we make friends, enemies and others that will not give a "tuss" about you, things are written down that would be said differently in person and others that hide behind a non-invisible wall, thinking that their identity will be ever known so, they opt to becoming a "stone in the shoe" to everyone, just for the fun of it...!

You get used to these individuals that, and because they have nothing better to do, take special pleasure in being a pain in the arsse and while sometimes, you get a laugh at them, other times we feel that we want to ring their neck...!

But, generally speaking, my time in Tree World as been positive...!

Thanks Eric.

Cheers
George

Like the other posters have mentioned I am also very appreciative of the information that has been shared. I have often posted a "noob" type question and the answers have been most helpful and put my mind at ease. I have enrolled at TAFE for arboriculture cert II and am looking forward to learning, putting it into practice and being able to provide a quality service to my customers
