The info I found suggests warm stratification can work -- herein the seeds are soaked, and put into soil - like peat, and kept moist and warm (at least 80 deg F) for up to a month, or more. One suggestion is to keep the peat pot in a zip lock bag, opening twice a day for air exchange, to help keep the moisture and heat in. Once the seed starts to germinate, take the pot out and plant the tree normally. Germination time may be 4 to 6 weeks, germination rate maybe in the 3 to 5% range. Hope this helps.
