G'day everone, I'm just wondering how do you go from one palm tree to another by only climbing up the first one... I ask this because Ive had about a dozen jobs now where it seems only one palm has been climbed from bottom to top and rest have been done from crown to the crown as theres only spike makes no lower than 10 feet from the crown and some of these palms are 50 plus ft in heigth and some of these are out to 15 foot apart. Install a high line (climb the tallest or most central first). If you can grab a fond on the other then pull yourself over and flip line in. If not come down more and try to swing over and flip line in. Also, a groundy could be installing a line in the head of the next palm so the climber can get over there and so on. Some people even got little grappling hooks with a rope on it, chuck it into the adjacent palm and pull yourself over.

Also do not forget the tail end of your life line can be used, carry a spare prussik cord, there's always one on the back my harness just in case.
