How right you are, as usually the hacks are under quoting everybody in the first place. Mentioning no names;
......or can we. If we had photo's and the names of the hacks that did the job, especially in action shots, can we name and shame them here?, or would that be encroaching legal issues,..Ekka?

IMO the only way to fight this stuff is (1) learn as much researched data as you can cram into your head (2) Get credentialed (3) fight the battle from the inside, join or create your local forestry board (4) get ready for a long battle (have a lot of patience)

Might add (5) stick your mug in front of the newspaper or tv camera whenever poss. and start flapping your lips.

I have to agree in principle with treevet. I did everything short of the media thing when I was asked to look at the trees in my post. It was the appointed INSPECTOR who brought me into the mess.

The press thing is a bit weird in my part of Canada, we are considered "Nice People" throughout the world. The beauracrats involved thought we should do MORE public education. The local media are about as gutless as a hog hanging on the rail of a slaughter plant. Hell we have a law against doing that kind of work to an elm tree. WRITE THE JERKS A TICKET.

uhh.... I'm pretty sure it's

Dirty deeds and they're done dirt cheap

Same basic meaning though.

I can't tell you how many people's versions of that song I've heard... we all went and looked it up once

The craziest misunderstood version went something like:

Dirty Dee and the ThunderCheifs. Makes you wonder what people are attatching significance to!!

I don't need to do the chainsaw bottle opener thing, I've been informed that that's what my Tiblocs are for SOMEONE's been drinkin on the job, lol.

PS Know what song says, Therrin, just trying to throw in a little dialect. Lost I guess?

Thought song was applicable to thread. Picts are little hard to swallow without a little laugh in there maybe.
