I have a beautiful Golden Robinia which is about 15 years old. Last year I noticed a dead branch which I put down to the drought thinking the tree may have been a little thirsty. But this year after oodles of rain I have noticed a few more such branches. The rest of the tree seems happy enough and blossomed as usual. Can anyone shed any light on the problem? Is there anything I can or should do? Thank you |

Need pics for more info. Are the branches small or large; near the ground or high up; scattered thru the crown -- only on one side? Robinia (and other trees) often have small dead branches scattered thru the crown. But without pics and more details, can only speculate.

Hi there, We also have a golden robinia which is about 16 years old and has been beautiful until this year. It appears to only have half budded up and has many dead branches and the ones with leaves are less prolific than usual. Does anyone have any ideas what it may be? |

I also have a golden ribinia that has flowered as it always does at this time of year but I have noticed that it only has 1/2 the leaves it usually has and there are many branches that are bare all over the trees. My three trees are about 15 years old does anyone know what this problem may be and how to fix it?

Wouldnt worry about them too much. Robinias generally thrive on neglect. If the dead branches are of concern, cut them off. |

Is there a real problem with Golden Robinia's. Mine has a handful of leaves and I notice that one in a garden down the road is in a similar state. I am devastated as I have only lived here 3 years and it was such a beautiful tree. What can I do?
