Hi guys, I planted (9) 5-6 ft cryptomeria trees this summer (3.5 months ago) and they are all doing great except 2. The 2 in question are starting to turn brown. I checked the amount of water they are receiving and it seems to be fine. Wondering if you guys have any tips to problem shoot or chemicals I should try. P.S...I have pictures but I cant figure out how to post it Thanks Matt |

Planting in summer semi advanced trees often brings grief. Over watering a new tree is as easy as giving too little and the effects are similar so hard to spot. Check for good drainage eg dig deep beside plant ensure added water can move though soil profile away. If soil smells dank find a way to drain, by now your tree maybe lost. Cryptomeria japonica if thats it? do brown in winter but as its your Autum a bad sign now. Good luck. |
