Unhappy Bandit terminates Landwaste Equipments QLD dealership

Received a letter yesterday from LWE.
Quote:
"This has come as a very big shock to us. The appauling 1 sentence E-Mail from Bandit Industries is how we were notified. There was no phone call or reasons for the termination. It appears with the termination of 3 dealers around Australia over the last 2 years it is Bandit's intention to have only 1 dealer do the whole of Australia and that is Sydney based.

We believe it could be due to the 100 year drought which brought lower sales over that period. As we are all aware here in Queensland most people are finding times tough under these conditions. It is also believed that another Bandit Dealer played a role in our termination.

We still have a fully comprehensive Bandit spare parts range. Our Back up/On-road servicing is still running strong. We have been a Bandit dealer for 7 years and will continue to offer Parts/Sales and Servicing to all our clients.

With our vast vast experience in the industry and our knowledge of individual machines combined with knowledge of our harsh Queensland conditions we make a winning team.

We have been informed that a Brisbane based "Brake Shop" will be performing Bandit warranty on manufactured parts. We find this totally unsuitable and inappropriate for our customers needs."
They are re-forming their ties with Rayco and taking up Chipstar. Some further words of reassurance that they're in business and for customers to not listen to the grapevine of BS floating around.

I must admit it's pretty bad business from Bandit. No reason or explanation. LWE used to take out full back page colour ads in the Arborage and many companies own a Bandit. Beats me what's going on here.

The guy i brought my tow behind off brought a bandit 60hp grinder(tow behind)it was a lemon big time, belts engine you name it!!! they gave him his money back and sent the machine back to the USA.

I thought they did a real good job marketing bandit in Qld???strange all the companys are chopping and changing, another reason i refuse to buy new tree machinery is the amount of "lemons" out there.

I don't know why but i've never really been so keen on Bandit chippers. Their skid steer stump grinder that has a remote control tickles my fancy though - all for $33k.

When we buy a new chipper I'm hoping to go with Rayco, their latest chipper 20 inch capacity looks great and is a beast. I was speaking with a Rayco rep about his sale rate and he told me that Active Tree Services have bought 10, 12 inches and 2, 20 inches in 2006. I have a guy in my class that works for Active, so I'm going to run it by him how I would go about getting in contact with their guy that handles all of their equipment and asking how his Rayco's are going.

Bandit did the same thing to the dealer here in BC a little over a year ago. They decided to choose a larger distributor that has 21 branches, 13 of which are in BC. Feel bad for the old dealer, but that's big business for you.

That Black Dahlia movie should be burnt! It's absolute junk, DO NOT EVEN THINK OF WATCHING IT.

But SAW III was awesome, special effects were ... gruesome.

But you need to make sure you have watched the others, some freaky new trap gadgets that are pretty twisted.

That's one series where I, II and III are all bloody good viewing if you're into gore.

Credit to the Aussies that made it.

Apparently the first was a low budget job but took off and hence the success of the rest.

I watched Crank tonight, good show, got that bloke out of Transporter in it, the pommy guy, goes hard.
