Default Badly pruned poinciana bcc to take out

I worked across the road from this abomination on Oriel street, it is marked for removal now but how could they let it be Hacked like that in the first place, heads should roll.

Also notice the previously topped/hacked gum outside the house to the right of pic 1 thats meters from the house, talk about an accident waiting to happen, this seems typical of work done around here.

Galbee,

It looks more like a weeping fig (Ficus benjamina) to me?

may be its their way of "pollaring" to keep away from the lines, they do the same here too on Elm and ash trees and they look bloody awful

your right it is, but talk about the right plant for the right location and poor tree management.

How about the right tree with wires in the wrong place or the wrong sort of wires. What is wrong with putting the wires underground or using ABC and keeping the tree.

i agree with putting the wires underground but now that would cause more problems than good as happened in holland a few years ago, the authorities said put the wires under ground roadside, so they trenched thousands of ks and severed all the tree roots, the trees subsequently either blew over died or went into severe decline, also this being a fig is a very invasive tree just look at brisbane cbd by the suncorp stadium, there are huge figs there lifting the road and paths and causing mayhem, ie right tree for the right location.
