| Here is the link to the ISA UK and IRE chapter http://www.isa-uki.org/ And here is The UK Arboricutural Association http://www.trees.org.uk/index.php It is my opinion that this ISA site is just awful. I think its dull, un-inspiring, un-inviting and stagnant, like old newspaper. I just can?t believe that this is the best they?re prepared to do. I for one certainly don?t feel compelled to join. On the contrary, the AA site always looks fresh, vibrant and is frequently updated. Am I being too cynical or do you agree that it?s a poor effort. |

| It's definately a poor effort RC1. I don't bother to much with the ISA, let alone The UK Arboricutural Association, but when I look at those pics the first thing that it says to me is: It just does the job to get their profits in the door, so why bother with better content? Profit orientated.

| John, I wouldn't expect you to bother with the UK AA being in that you are in Australia, but my point was that this particular ISA chapter is the UK and Ire version also. I checked out the other ISA chapters, including Australia and they've done a much better job with the respective sites. It is no secret over here that the AA wont have anything to do with the ISA despite various publicized propositions by the ISA UK. However, just glancing at this particular chapter's site, the AA are hardly going to be inspired to even consider the possibilities. This site just say's to me 'that L do'. I just can't comprehend how anyone can expect to be taken seriously when they make such a poor presentation at the first port of call! Do the associations have much presence in Australia? Who are they, and what does the average contractor gain by joining? I won?t get you going on the ISA again Eric. You've made your feelings very clear on that one. |
