Its off the subject of the gypsies but I was driving down the road the other day passing some power lines that were just cleared and I saw one of the trees that they completely destroyed. They cut every limb off of this tree, not even a little sucker growth was on it. It was horrible looking. If they do all that work why dont they just cut it down completely?

Pikeys/gypsies flaunt the law constantly they live on camps where the police won't go they are classed as a minority so the government won't touch them. they follow you around trying to under cut you on price,if they find your yard they rob your gear. if you cross them they turn out mob handed and will torch your house if needs be they are the ultimate hacks uninsured untrained uncaring hacks. yup i deal with this daily i live between two large camps grrrrr

Well they still nicked my gear, intimidate my customers and bring the house prices down where ever they decide to camp so gramatical errors aside they're trouble.

Never got to see any pictures of these gypsies camps ... would like to though.

Many years ago I watched a documentary about the immigration problem in England, how it's inundated with "illegals" and how they manage it. They got slack and pretty much just let it go and let the people diseminate in the community.

Fortunately here they come down on them like a ton of bricks, if you aint here lawfully then you're in a camp alright, a holding camp. USA could also learn a lesson from it, what 12 million+ illegals (they call them aliens but to me aliens come from outer space like the one they got in Roswell)

Top five favorite movies... warning, rated M+ due to language and violence but is readily accessible YouTube video.

They bought the land, so they got money.

And they know it takes up to 8 years to get sorted, because like the tree business the laws a useless ass for acting promptly.

I hope we never have rubbish like that here. Gypsies, what a serious problem, they got lorries, machinery and all, they're worse than door knocking hacks here. Feel for you blokes, that such an over taxed and governed country manages to be so pathetic with dealing with issues like this ... the do gooders and political correctness of the last 15 years to blame, where even the agricultural vermin and weeds have some-how managed to obtain rights.

Just read all the posts.Interesting.

I agree Ekka for the local council.

Whats a sally saw.I can only asume it is a funny looking thing that is mounted on the back of a truck with a 40 foot extendiable boom with the saw blade on the end of it??. We have one in the area at the moment doing line clearing,Eastern Tree Services I think. Looks really exspensive.

I wonder if Ekka, before he gets too busy with the running for council thing, could side line a bussiness of traveling around and teaching better tree pratice workshops for people like myself?.Mabie some of you out there that are well qualified could look at something like this?.

I would be the first in this area to book in.

And don't forget the wood-rotting bugs and crud, who seem to have more right to some trees than the trees themselves do! In the UK a veteran tree is defined as one that provides habitat for bugs and crud; absolute rubbish and one more example of special interests acting against the general welfare.

Bugs and crud got rights. If the bugs and crud are adding to the demise of the tree what then?

I vote a good bug kill and the tree live longer.

Anyway, let me know, do you think I could use them as a huge billboard like they are now, tens of thousands of people go past this busy place a day, right opposite a shop entrance and on a bad set of lights that most people catch red.

YIKES wot a nasty piece of work. An awfull eyesore, makes me wonder if the folks who paid for the job are happy????.
