I'd say 5 hours of interrogation in the witness box would twist anybody ... sort of a torture. Sadly, even with the footage they had the guy got off ... the judge was paid off!

I watched that movie American Gangster last night, didn't know it was a true story. Hows that 75% of the PD was on the take. For those who haven't seen it ... you gotta see it! And then Crowe became a defence attorney and got the guy an early release from jail. Why do you think he switched from prosecuting attorney to defence? $'s I'd say, and his first case of getting drug lord out of jail early means other crims with plenty of money will soon be his new clients. I'd say defence pays better.

I worked on the coast for around 5 years. Had a few classics, mainly units where dead beats sleep till midday, but they just verballed. MAN I LOVE TECHNOLOGY Check this out. Years ago we had to do some cocos palm take downs on the Gold Coast. Was the end of a dead end street, no parking, boat ramp etc. We were working on in the house on the left. Not to block the street etc we parked on the footpath lawn. Well the bloke in the corner house you can see came out and told us to move (was like 7.30am). I said we had 2 palms to take down, will be gone in a few hours etc. Nope, he said he was going to call the council and dob us in. There was nowhere else to park. Got an open ute all my gear in the back, summer, windows down etc. The ole bastid waited till I was up the top of a palm (big ugly bowl headed one) and he was going out, turned the sprinklers on and started drenching my ute and gear. Got the groundy to turn the mains off, the ole coot had left! Here's the view, I dont recall the wall being there I think that's new (like this was 6 years ago). http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=89+esplanade+hollywell&sll=-25.335448,135.745076&sspn=34.384397,74.091797&ie=UTF8&layer=c&cbll=-27.893916,153.376891&panoid=0AHbRpUrQrzAfX4-8Adxlw&cbp=1,149.4521461513337,,0,8.823852769202484&ll=-27.889725,153.376887&spn=0.008307,0.018089&z=16

yea mate ,we just try our best to get through our day and go home in one peice to the wife and kids ,then you got to put up with the odd bloody idots that dont give 2 hoots about you and what you have to do to provide ,and put food on the table they are much more worried about a ute on the council grass. just let them live in our shoes for 1 day if they would last that.

Well like to someone out here throw rocks at me in a tree and get away with it. Would have carmly come down, taken some gear off,got the felling bar from the truck and taking to the ar..hole. Only thing that would have been the downer, the extra cost to the job of getting the local excavator in to dig the barsted a hole.
