There are quite a few Redwoods in parks and gardens round here, including a pair of very old Wellingtonias in the South Park(must get photos!). You can see a redwood on my tree blog (second pic down) which is smack in the middle of the town. Not sure how mature it is but it towers over the broadleaves!

Do you want a Sequoia Dendron?

This one I moved last winter, weighing 70 tons.

Love Sequoia's, I did my final internship in Sequoia National Forest. Inventory of Sequoiagroves, saw a lot of huge ones overthere.

The weighed was estimated as beeing around 70/75 tons. When lifted it showed we were spot on. We used one the biggest cranetruck in Holland.

This is 650 ton crane, it comes with three supporttrucks for the extra weight and you need a 40 ton crane for rigging it.
This crane could lift up to 85 tons from the position wher it could stand a the location. It lifted the tree 170 feet to its new location.
