Default Any Aussie old growth left?

I was wondering if in Australia, do you still have old growth forests and if so how much. Here in USA our continent has been pretty much desimated. Its basically just management timber harvesting.I find 600 plus year old trees awesome as hell. They make me feel like a little kid,"cut down to size"so to speak.I watched a show on tv that was about salvaging old growth logs that had submerged while transiting on rivers during the earliy 20th century. As I understand, these logs have about 8-10 growth rings per inch, compared to young timber(less than 200 yrs)with 5-7 growth rings.I love one day to come to Australia to witness some of the "down under giants".
