Default Wind damage

Last night we had wicked rain and high winds here. Rain guage said 2'' winds were clocked around 30-40 not to bad but it was real gusty. Damage wasn't to bad got some pics of a few of the calls I got this morning. One was an insurance job and the other I had to bid.

Yes it is hung up in 3 other trees We have access to both sides of the tree the oak is in a fence row on a property line. No targets to worry about There is 4 maybe 5 oak trees of the same size behind the tree that we can use. Blocks and ropes, in the trees behind it. Porty's and the Hobbs. I bought the Hobbs in the spring and can't believe the power that thing has.

So this one is a red oak, looked like it had a cavity with open front.

Be a good one to measure what the t/r ratio was for a failure, also length vs DBH (taper ratio).

Agreed, if we get the job I will be all over it pics and documents. Even if we don't get to do the removal I will try to see what was goin on there.
I thought it might be a lighting strike that happened a long time ago but it starts real low on the trunk...???
