Default Trees at school

Heres a few pics of a massive fig & Gum
living side by side in happiness
in the front grounds of my kids school


note the fig root; No. 3.

it got to the gum
then,
"right turn clyde"

I dare say the gummy wouldn't mind that association.

Most gums shed their lower branches, now the ground is shaded and the trunk but it's canopy would be higher than the fig. Also get a wind break and lots of litter.

Be a tougher battle for roots maybe?

Not sure on the species of gum?
